The Holy Eucharist

Montrance
Picture SourceNational Adoration Society

"You envy the opportunity of the woman who touched the vestments of Jesus, of the sinful woman who washed His feet with her treas, of the women of Galilee who had the happiness of following Him in His pilgrimages, of the Apostles and disciples who conversed with Him familiarly, of the people of the time who listened to the words of grace and salvation which came forth from His lips.

You call happy those who saw Him...

But, come to the altar and

- you will see Him,

- you will touch Him,

- you will give to Him holy kisses,

- you will wash Him with your tears,

- you will carry Him within you like Mary Most Holy."...St. John Chrysostom

"Jesus is there!"

St. Alphonsus de Liguori on St. John Vianney: "The holy Cure of Ars could not finish repeating these three words without shedding tears.

"There Jesus is!. Therefore all of us should go visit Him!"...St. Peter Julian Eymard

Esther ~
The highlight of my entire week is my visits with Him...at least once or twice, every chance I get. The only thing greater is when I am able to attend a weekday Mass...Sunday is not enough for me anymore!
My Angel is busy whispering all the time, lol. xo

Jenn, how pleasing you must be to our Lord sometimes forgotten in our Tabernacles!

Esther ~ I can only hope so, eh? ;)
Years ago, when we lived in Detroit, the parish was slowly declining and I was the ONLY one in the entire parish who came by to request the key to the chapel (judging from what the pastor told me)!!
Father just told the secretary to let me in whenever I wanted...and I have never stopped going.
Needless to say, that church has since closed down; where we are now, there are always people there. :) It's the most active (very traditional) parish I have ever seen ~ and I am finally at home... xo

Jenn, sad that people didn't take time for a one on one with our Lord. But what a privilege for you to have access like that.
