February 11th is the Feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes. Since it falls on a Sunday this year, it will not be celebrated during the Mass. On a personal note, my home parish was our Lady of Lourdes and that of my dear husband's family was St. Bernadette's. We were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She holds a dear spot in our hearts.
Today, let us ask our Lady of Lourdes to intercede for Portugal. To protect it from the evils of abortion on demand.

I think she has answered our prayers!
My parish here IS Our Lady of Lourdes. The Bishop gave our Church special permission to celebrate this day. Our priest wore a Marian vestment. (I'm not sure if I'm explaining all this correctly). But, yeah, it was great seeing something different on him and hearing him talk about Our Lady.
And I am always reminded of my wonderful trip to Lourdes in December 2004.
Was it baby blue? It must have been beautiful. Our priest has a Immaculate Conception vestment. He wears it on the Marian feasts.
