Divine Mercy for the Dying

Anointing of the Sick"Extreme Unction", part of The Seven Sacraments (1445) by Roger van der Weyden

The following is from Notebook II of Sister Faustina's Diary, page 320 #811

"...At the hour of their death I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this chaplet; or when others say it for a dying person, the indulgence is the same. When this chaplet is said by the bedside of a dying person, God's anger is placated, unfathomable mercy envelops the soul, and the very depths of My tender mercy are moved for the sake of the sorrowful Passion of My son."

Prayer for God's Mercy and Pardon for Sin

Sacred Heart
Thanks Sue.

Lord, I am in this world to show Your mercy to others. Other people will glorify You by making visible the power of Your grace by their fidelity and constancy to You. For my part I will glorify You by making known how good You are to sinners, that Your mercy is boundless and that no sinner no matter how great his offences should have reason to despair of pardon. If I have grievously offended You, My Redeemer, let me not offend You even more by thinking that You are not kind enough to pardon Me. Amen.
