A Catholic's Believe It or Not - Anne Boleyn

Original Source: A Catholic's Believe it or Not! Raymond James Paul, Dell Publishing Co., Inc.

Henry VIII, King of England, had St. John Fisher beheaded when he refused to pay him homage.

Anne Boleyn asked for his head and slapped it rudely. One of the teeth pierced her hand, and the wound never healed. Later she herself was beheaded.

How ironic, she was the reason St. Thomas More was beheaded too. I love God's sense of humor.

That story in untrue. The day of Fisher's execution she attended a Mass for the repose of his soul and the evening of the next day she staged for the King a masque.
It's important to avoid repeating black legends and untrue facts that never existed.
By the way, I like the images of the site.

Thanks for your kind words on the graphics.

Hello Esther. I'm sorry to be so late in answering, I apologize.
You can read it in "The six wives of Henry VIII" by Alison Weir, page 282 in the edition I have.
Please feel free to ask
