This is an old picture that belonged to my husband's father. It seems like the older a holy image is, the more beautiful it is.

Yes, it seems so. After my parents died we found beautiful, old-style, fancy-framed pictures of the sacred heart and immaculate heart in their attic that I had never seen before. Not the typical images, but very beautiful. I've always wondered if my grandparents brought them over from Poland.
