Hau'oli Makahiki Hou Everyone!
Even though it is not a Holy Obligation in Hawaii, I know there will be many people at all our Masses to tomorrow in honor of our Blessed Mother.
We fly to thy patronage,from this Site
O holy Mother of God;
despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
Happy New Year Esther :)

Happy New Year. the idiot brigade in my diocese has also declared that Jan 1 is not a Holy Day of Obligation for our diocese. I noted when looking this information up that Hawai'i by some sort of indult in effect for a while now only has two Holy Days of Obligation, outside of Sunday, Christmas and Dec. 8th. Something about keeping them in line with the south pacific area...I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteWhat up with that?
Karen
HAPPY NEW YEAR & God bless you Esther.

With love your friend,
Marie PS: It has been SO HOT here that God and I are about to have 'words'. If'n you all hear a crack of THUNDER...I lost the argument LOL!
I didn't know that Hawaii doesn't celebrate this day as a Holy Day of Mass obligation. I guess it's your bishops decision?
