Prayer to St. John Bosco for the Protection of Young People

Photo taken at the Don Bosco Marian Center in New York

Prayer

O Glorious Saint John Bosco, who,
in order to lead young people to the feet of the divine Master and
to form them in the light of faith and Christian morality,
didst heroically sacrifice thyself to the very end of thy life and
didst found a fitting religious Institute destined to endure and
to bring to the farthest boundaries of the earth thy glorious work,
obtain also for us from our Lord a holy love for young people,
who are for us from our Lord a holy love for young people,
who are exposed to so many seductions,
in order that we may generously spend ourselves in supporting them against the snares of the devil,
in keeping them safe from the dangers of the world,
and in guiding them, pure and holy,
in the path that leads to God.

Amen.

  4. My teenage son was having a lot of problems. He was in a juvenile program for troubled teens for bad decisions he had made. It was at that time that I recited a novena to St. John Bosco to ask (beg) for help for my son. Right away I received correspondence from him telling me how much he was starting to turn to God and he would pray, even in front of the other boys who were locked up. (Some would ask him to pray for them as well, which I was so happy to hear.) He told me he experienced God's love and was very adament about it. I don't know what he felt that changed in him but I do know for a fact that I had just completed a novena to St. Bosco. I haven't shared that with him yet. I may in the future. But I definitely wanted to share this with everyone here. He listens to our prayers and he will help. I am so greateful, there are no words. Up until this point my son had been incorrigible. Thank you dear St. Bosco.
