Interesting directive from the pope. I am, by the way, a Catholic mom visiting Hawaii (leaving tomorrow morning, though). I am new to Catholicism, however, so all of this is eye-opening. What does the Pope say about people incapable of kneeling -- bad knees, wheelchair bound, etc.?
It will be interesting to see if this will actually start to happen in the United States.. I am fine with it but really wonder how many parishes will actually listen.. should be interesting:)

ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your stay on our islands Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteI am sure the Holy Father does not expect those who are unable to kneel, to kneel.

ReplyDeleteI received Holy Communion on my knees for the first time when I was in NJ. I really loved the reverence.
