We have an urgent request for you this month! Please tell your friends and fellow parishioners that if they want to know what's really going on in Rome during this historic time, they need to turn to EWTN! In addition to using social media to spread the word, we ask you to please place the following announcement in your parish bulletin:
EWTN IS AIRING EXTENSIVE COVERAGE OF HISTORIC PAPAL EVENTS: If you want to know what's happening in Rome during this historic time, there is no better, more authoritative source than the EWTN Global Catholic Network. The Network is available everywhere you are: TV, radio, online, print, and via your mobile phone. Find out how to access these resources at www.ewtn.com/everywhere; and get updates on programming at www.ewtn.com. Don't miss a moment of one of the most exciting times in the history of Catholicism!
But that's not all that's happening. We are now approaching the holiest week of the year! If you have not already, you will soon be receiving a special "The Week That Changed the World" poster to place in your parish. We ask you to post this wherever you obtain permission to do so and to please place the following announcement in your parish bulletin:
CELEBRATE HOLY WEEK AND EASTER WITH EWTN: Learn more about your Faith during the holiest time of the year with first rate movies, documentaries, musicals, children's programs, and much more! Celebrate Mass at St. Peter's in Rome or from the majestic Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. Get program details at www.ewtn.com. Just click on the "Channelfinder" icon on their website to find out how to tune in!
Easter is the time to encourage a family member, friend, or even a stranger to return to the Faith. Reach out to the homebound or hospitalized and let them know that they don't have to miss out on anything. In fact, they can see the most glorious Masses anywhere just by tuning in to EWTN. We'll be airing Holy Week and Easter Masses and special events from the Vatican, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C., and from Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Irondale, Alabama! Thanks for helping us spread the word about EWTN's exclusive coverage of Holy Week and Easter as well as the election of our new Pope!
O Saint Padre Pio, holy bearer of the Wounds of Christ, accept us this day as your spiritual sons and daughters and keep us always on the narrow path by your intercession. And do thou, O our Spiritual Father, stay there at the Gates of Heaven until all of your spiritual children have entered through, even and including us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Heavenly Father, your divine Son taught us to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His vineyard.
We earnestly beg you to bless our Diocese and our world with many priests and religious who will love you fervently and gladly and courageously spend their lives in service to your Son's Church, especially the poor and the needy.
Bless our families and our children, and choose from our homes those who you desire for this holy work.
Teach them to respond generously and keep them ever faithful in following your Son Jesus Christ, that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and with the inspiration of Saint Damien and Blessed Marianne the Good News of redemption may be brought to all. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Jesus, Savior of the world, sanctify Thy priests and sacred ministers.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Breathe in me O Holy Spirit that my thoughts may all be holy; Act in me O Holy Spirit that my work, too, may be holy; Strengthen me O Holy Spirit to defend all that is holy; Guard me then O Holy Spirit that I always may be holy.
