Local Event - Reminder Feast of Divine Mercy Celebration

HOUR OF MERCY CELEBRATION FOR THE FEAST OF DIVINE MERCY

Church: Star of the Sea Church on 4469 Malia Street

PROGRAM:

2 PM Divine Mercy Holy Hour
Divine Mercy Assembly

3 PM Hour of Mercy Prayer/Holy Mass
by His Excellency, Bishop Larry Silva

4 PM Blessing of the Divine Mercy images

Please join us for a dinner reception in the cafeteria in celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy.

The complete blessings of the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary as we give praise and thanksgiving to Our Lord of Divine Mercy!

Daily Prayer During the Year for Priests

O Jesus, Eternal Priest;
keep all Your priests within the shelter of Your
Sacred Heart, where none may harm them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands
which daily touch Your Sacred Body.

Keep unsullied their lips purpled with Your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unearthly their hearts sealed with the
sublime marks of Your glorious priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround them and shield them
from the world's contagion.

Bless their labors with abundant fruit,
and may the souls to whom they have ministered to
be their joy and consolation
and in Heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown.

O Mary, Queen of the clergy, pray for us;

Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Damien

Our Father, while your Son Jesus walked among us on earth, He taught us by work and example to love one another. We pray that you glorify your servant Damien, in order that inspired by the example of his love for you, and for his fellow human beings, we too, might live your great commandment and reach out to our brothers and sisters in their spiritual and temporal needs.

Inspired by your love, Damien gave his life for the most wretched of his brothers and sisters.

May we, in your goodness, soon see him honored as Saint.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ your son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Marianne Cope

Lord Jesus, You gave us Your commandment of love of God and of neighbor,
and identified Yourself in a special way with the most needy of Your people;
hear our prayer.
Faithful to Your teaching,
Mother Marianne Cope loved and served her neighbor, especially the most desolate outcast,
giving herself generously and heroically for the victims of leprosy.
She alleviated their physical and spiritual sufferings,
thus helping them to accept their afflictions with resignation,
as a pledge of God’s love and their eternal happiness. Through her merits and intercession,
grant us the favor which we confidently ask of You (mention request)
so that the People of God,
following the inspiration of her life and apostolate, may practice fraternal charity, according to Your word and example.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits.

First -- To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.

(Glory be to the Father and to the Son and the Holy Ghost as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.)

Second -- To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life.

O Blessed Trinity,
we thank You for having graced teh Church
with Pope John Paul II and for allowing
the tenderness of Your Fatherly car,
the glory of the cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Holy Spirit,
to Shine through him.

Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
he has given us a living image of Jesus
the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that
holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary
Christian life and is the way of achieving
eternal communion with You.

Grant us, by his intercession,
and according to Your will,
the graces we implore...,
