Yesterday, I got a call from a good friend. She had free tickets to the Food and New Products Show and she invited me and another friend to go. I was knitting at the time, but I thought what the heck!

I'm happy that I did. Not only did I spend some time with two good friends but I got to meet Wally Amos. He used to be known as Famous Amos...famous chocolate chip cookies.

He now has a new line of cookies Chip & Cookie and he promotes literacy. Check out his website.

I bought Joey a bag of the cookies under their new name. Mr. Amos even autographed it for Joey. I mentioned to him that I had loved his cookies ever since visiting the Nutley, NJ plant over 20 years ago. Our family loves these cookies.

BTW, according to Joey, these new cookies are terrific. He wants me to keep our home stocked with them. At first he didn't want to eat them because the bag was autographed. But I talked him into it. You know what? They are great!
